Profile Information

About Me:

I most recently find myself in graduate school, studying putative hybridization in an endemic species of Indian paintbrush (Castilleja christii). This plant grows at the top of a 10,000ft. mountain in Idaho, just 45 minutes north of City of Rocks. So, I have the unfortunate duty of conducting my field studies up in a forb dominated meadow above tree line all summer long, swimming in alpine lakes and backpacking into various field site locations (boo hoo!). I have been getting out as much as possible, exploring wildflowers and Idaho mountain streams, hotspringing, mountain biking and playing lots of ultimate.

i dream of:

having a beautiful (HUGE!!) garden someday, living off the grid, engaging our community in a positive way.

i'm inspired by:

The patience and love displayed by Scott Graham in the face of hardships, the Cascade, Olympic, Albion, White and Owyhee mountains, old-growth trees, edible fungi, plant spirit medicine, awesome scenes of all kinds.

i get down to:

social networking instead of school-working
