Kelly added a discussion to the group politics
What is the purpose of supporting a presidential candidate who supports things like universal healthcare. The president don't make the rules, folks! A president does not function as a king much less a legislating component of government. The preside…

I don't know the answer to that...but I do know that politicians are fucking up by emphasizing "global warming" as the problem. The real problem is that we are completely ravaging our Home. Because global warming happens to occur naturally, people l…

Profile Information

About Me:
I live in California, far away from my family. I'm trying to save money for college. Finding a job is hard. I create things that I hope that people want to buy. Money sucks. I heard that the 16th Amendment is a sham, so I want all my taxes back! America's docile and it scares me. Don't drink fluoridated water!

I want to help people See and Do (I need help with that, too). Its hard. I think that its because adaptability and sponginess have up till now been an evolutionary advantage...perhaps necessity. Like darwinism, right. Those with genes which instructed quick absorbtion and adaptation, well, they survived. Nowadays, though, this wonderful little program doesn't quite work. Overstimulation these days prevents true vision.
i dream of:
A true democracy...

I think the tools are here, people just forgot how to use them!
Choose your Congress wisely!

Um...also, I think we can really help people out of poverty. We can do it in a fun, prepackaged American way, too! Just to put it out there, if you just SO happen to be reading this, know that you could sponsor a child for seriously, a bowl pack a week! AND you get a cute picture and letters!

I sponsor a child from Guatamala right now. I've been canvassing for Save the Children and Children International since '05. I'm a freak about sponsorship! (Oh, they sponsor kids here in the U.S. too. Obama says on his website that now that all Americans have running water and electricity that we need to get dialed in to some national broadband network...thats all good and gravy, but too bad its not true!!! There are tons of kids without electricity and running water in this country, the third world here can mostly be found in the southwest, inner cities, and Apalachia!)

I don't care what organization you do it through, but right now my child can get vaccinations and access to a clinic, hygiene kits, tutoring, shoes/books for school, and CLEAN DRINKING WATER...and her mom gets parent training. You know the number one cause of death in children under five worldwide is dysentary, which is generally caused by drinking dirty water! DISGUSTING!

Guess what else. Once when I was canvassing in Chicago this guy sponsored a kid from me, and he's like, "You know Kelly, this is very special to me, because I was a sponsored child!"

I said, "Pffff, NO WAY!" This guy was totally well dressed, pretty wealthy-looking actually, and a business graduate from DePaul.

Apparently, as a child, he and his family lived in a box-like structure in the Dominican Republic near a lamp post where they stole their electricity. They became refugees and moved to Peurto Rico. There he was sponsored, had the opportunity to get healthy and smart, and after earning excellent grades was recruited by DePaul on scholarship.

I'm sure this is a rare gem of sponsorship success, but even so, that's just an extreme example of how far your five bucks a week can go.
i'm inspired by:
divinely random acts of kindness and thoughtful intention

We are all creators! Really, people, we are "Gods" in this life...
Assuming tht we are all part of the One Consciousness, its probably pretty intense feeling the infinite all the time, right? And there's no one to share it with because its all ONEness!
Well this Self's life that each of us is in right now, well, it is the "separation" from the "God" consciousness; it is one possible manifestation of the "God" energy...the separation allows for individual experience and sharing with other "separations" or parts of the whole.
Take advantage!
i get down to:
business
my parents are:
on their own path...
my birthday is on:
Elvis's birthday!
i've travelled to:
the west coast and whatever's in between
my favorite word is:
syzygy

hello again miss. Kelly....

well first i have to thank you for considering me much of a thinker....i mean, sure, i think...but not much harder than anyone else.....]

i certainly hear you about the frustration though...This here civilization has given us plenty to be frustrated about. I don’t know how good of a person I am to comment on the issue because, my frustrations are not eliminated…I bet the never will be, and I guess that’s pretty refreshing knowing there’ll always be something to work on improving.

As of late I’ve been doing a lot of letter writing to my state paper and radio station. All of the writings don’t all get in but when they do I know that hundreds of people probably read them and realize that many people probably feel the same, and that, if we’re lucky, it might change their thought process around.

You make jewelry don’t you? I like to make stuff too… the reason I started creativecollectivity.com a while back ago was to give artisans an opportunity to use their craft to make a change. Everything I sell on my store goes towards a cause that I support. If you’d like you could take pictures of your jewelry and we could put them in the store and you could donate a portion of your sellings to a cause that you think is good. That’s one way.

But all of those things you mentioned are great ways to get involved. I think the best way is to not let it bog you down too much. I like to think of the aspects of society that I disagree with as my rivals and if I let them get the best of me they win….

The tunes were my own….we make tunes sometimes…they’re pretty wacky….check out “brace for impact”
I like your tunes too….David Byrne no?

Ok…back to work with me.
