I am in Nepal, so Namaste!

Hey CC Social Network! FYI I am in Nepal for the next 8 months. I am volunteering with the new Four Paths Foundation that came out of La Crosse this winter/spring with my two new friends Andrea and Adrianne. We're out in the rural hillsides working with a community development project to promote and develop organic farming practices in the community around Sakhu-Palubari. We live in a nice little house made of wood and mud-dung plaster. We cook with rainwater and firewood and eventually with nat… Continue

After 12 Years I'm Switching Back to Briefs

Hello Social Network, I am proudly announcing that I am making the transition back to wearing briefs. Sometime during middle school I began to wear boxers. I am not certain why...maybe it was because it was a matter of keeping up with the times. Low riding pants surely would not look so fashionable with whitey tighties. Was the healthier choice for a h… Continue

In Light of My 25th Revolution

Well hi there, thanks for tuning in to my first CC blog entry. In an nod to my first quarter century of life thus far I have chosen to take on a sizeable personal challenge. This morning marks the beginning of my attempt at a 10-day fast. Why fast? Because I like the idea. I love food, I love growing it, I love cooking it, I love providing it, I love everything about the stuff. But lately I feel like taking a break from the stuff. I've many friends that fast on occasion and they all hold the ex… Continue

Ross replied to robin lee's discussion 'The Road' in the group Flicks
Personally Robin I have a place I'm going to when this happens. It is a place with all the basic amenities: water, food, firewood, shelter in cave form and high ground for safety. I also will know the whereabouts of others doing the same thing (via…

I just read the book and i worried about the movie. It does the book justice. There are a couple of minor changes but for the most part i think it did a really good job of conveying the f-d up tone of the movie. It makes me want to build a bomb she…
