Hey hey hey, howdy hey hey,
Hey everyone. This is robin! How are you? Do you remember me? I know I skipped a month of newsletter but hopefully you still do.
Newsletter, newsletter…what’s been new? Well, I guess I’ll start, as I so often do, with recapping. (For those of you short on time you can download the word version of this to see this letter with highlighted importance) Oct Newsletter.docx

Old Biz:
Summer. Summer has all of a sudden become old business. I don’t know how that happened but it did. So fast, so blurry so much, so much so much. The last time I wrote a newsletter I was preparing for the feel good fest, my marriage, and the marriages of many friends. Well, that all happened. One weekend after another until they were all done and I’m left with computer full of great pictures and a brain full of great memories.
The Feel Good Fest was a blast as always, the rain made it extra adventuresome.
My wedding was the most beautiful day of my life, it was overwhelming, in a good way. I was overwhelmed with love, which is never a bad thing to be overwhelmed with. It’s easy to forget, or neglect, all of the very special people that are a part of your life. When you get them all together, and you see them all at once, it’s like a slap to the face that makes you smile. It was a really amazing day and I am so thankful for all of the people that shared it with us in body and spirit. Other people’s weddings were the same way I’m sure (except for being on the other end). Thanks to everyone that celebrates love.
The summer was capped with an riveting victory by the infamous DONKEY PUNCHERS!!! If you didn’t know www.leftoverbags.com (the ultimate experience) co-sponsors a very strong and vicious group of friends that go by “The Donkey Punchers.” We gave the season hell, and had a blast.

New Biz:
No w that the weddings are done and the summer fun is put on the shelf, its time to get down to Business!
-Warm Wet Rag (a tribute to WEEN): We’re back baby! Playing to you live at the Alchemy this upcoming Thursday (10/15/09) at 10 p.m for freeeeeee!!! We will also be playing at The Frequency with a couple of other cover bands on HalloWEEN! We will rock, have no fear.
-Wacky Art: Yep, I still make it. Right now I have a piece hanging up at gallery #3 at the Overture. It’s the first I’ve ever made an attempt to sell, I’m not having much luck. It might have something to do with the fact that I’m trying to sell it for $2000. So if you have $2000, or know someone that does, send them over there.
-Open Art Studios: I am participating in Madison’s “Open Art Studios” this year. On Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th, (from 11-5 pm) I will be at the Madison Children’s Museum conducting a “workshop” on art and technology, in which I will be documenting kids art and making a little website out of it. I know most of you reading this aren’t kids, but maybe you know some that might want to check it out. For more information click here: http://www.madisonchildrensmuseum.org/?m=20091018&cat=2
The Social Network: Exists and is awesome! If you’re not a member you should be. Go here to become a member: http://creativecollectivity.ning.com/

Creative Collectivity Glory Hole: The Social Network is now responsible for hole #13 at Heistand disc golf course, which involves picking up and changing the trash. So if you’re ever disc golfing and you get to hole #13 try to lend a hand and pick up some trash.
I’m sorry to announce that I will not be able to throw the leftoverbag new years bash this year. However, in leau of that we are discussing the possibilities of a beard and mustache contest/ leftoverbash in the winter season.
Brace for: Impact: Has not been too active. But I head they did get a new organ. (http://creativecollectivity.ning.com/profile/BRACEFORIMPACT)
Pod Cast: I am still planning on creating a podcast for our listening pleasure. I hope to get the first one created by the holiday season, so if you have anything you’d like contribute (music, interview, reading, anything) please get a hold of me or send me an mp3 and I will include it. (xobin@hotmail.com)
Kit N Caboodle: I still want to make one but haven’t gotten many submissions from many people. If anyone has any writing, art, or anything to go into the next kit n caboodle I’m compiling. Shoot me a line (xobin@hotmail.com)
Life: I’m still working on it. My plan is to apply to grad school. I’ve also been sending a lot of my work to contests, writing for the Barrymore, and I’m working on illustrating a children’s book with a buddy. So I’m keeping plenty busy.
---------------------------------------------
So there you have it. A newsletter. Wasn’t that refreshing!? Again, I had a great summer and it was great to see everyone I saw. Lets make a habit out of it. Hope to see you soon.
Your friend,
Robin Lee

Not in matter, but in thought, not in possessions, but in ideas, are to be found the seeds of immortality. Not through material acquisitions, but in generous diifusion of ideas can the true empire of humanity be established. - Sir Jagadis Chandra Bo…
